Who We Are:
Laurie Beetler - Author
Laurie resides in Strongsville, OH and has worked in elementary education for
10 years. Her passion for providing the best learning environment for special
needs children fueled her desire to write books and provide resources that
bridge the gap between typical and special needs children.
Wendy McClure - Co-Illustrator and Co-Owner, Blair II
Wendy resides in Strongsville, OH. She has taught special education for 15
years in the public school systems of Florida and Ohio. In addition, Wendy has
taught journalism, art and photography, and has worked in advertising, public
relations and marketing. She has also worked as a freelance calligrapher and
print designer.
Maria Holubek - Co-Illustrator
Maria resides in Lakewood, Ohio, where she was born and raised. Maria
shares her love of art with children in the classroom, where she has worked for
the past 15 years. In college, Maria's passion for art grew, and her training gave
her the ability to fulfill her desire of becoming an illustrator. As co-illustrator
for Freckle Books, she hopes the series will unite the children in mainstream
settings
.
Shelly Brucker - Editor and Co-Owner, Blair II
Shelly resides in Wake Forest, NC and has a professional career in market
research, sales and business operations. Shelly's experience has given her the
ability to listen to the needs of others and deliver results with speed and
